Sara Evans shared a heartfelt conversation with fellow country megastar Martina McBride on the latest episode of her podcast, Diving in Deep with Sara Evans, which made its debut on Thursday (April 25). The two beloved artists delved into their experiences with music while growing up — Evans is from Boonville, Missouri, and McBride is from Sharon, Kansas — how they built their careers in Nashville, Tennessee, raising families while touring and recording music, how the music industry has evolved over the years and more.

“Growing up surrounded by musical talent, the two of them talk about the pressure and grunt work they put in to jumpstart their careers- from performing at the local bars as teens to eventually balancing motherhood while on the road. With a myriad of shared experiences, the two criticize the drastic shifts in the music industry that they’ve witnessed, sharing personal feelings about ‘New Age’ music and how they dislike that today’s music is catered to the trending charts instead of true, authentic expression.”

Evans launched her podcast last month, beginning with a candid, nearly hour-long episode titled “The WHOLE Truth.” The emotional episode arrived on the same day she released “Pride,” which she said is “the most real song I have ever written and I am so grateful to be able to put it out into the world.” Her daughter, Audrey, stars in the music video. Since then, Evans has hosted Dennis Quaid, Craig Dunn (her manager) and ERNEST as guests on Diving in Deep.

The “Born To Fly” powerhouse is gearing up for her “Unbroke Tour,” titled after her forthcoming album that’s due on June 7. Evans said on Thursday that she “cannot wait to play the new album live for y'all,” including new song “21 Days,” which arrived on Friday (April 26). See Evans’ tour dates below.
