Overview: Outshined began with a couple of like minded friends wanting to play music. Guitarist Kyle and drummer Jeremy played continuously throughout high school occasionally playing with Bassist Lucas who frequented in and out of bands. Guitarist Ferguson had trouble finding people with similar taste in music where he grew up so when he met Kyle and Jeremy at San Francisco State University it was a pivotal time in the band’s life. Lucas became a permanent member a short time later solidifying the rhythm section. The band was almost complete but finding a singer proved to be a task. Front man Jon Carr started out as a drummer in Santa Barbara. He moved to San Francisco and through a friend of a friend was introduced to the band. The addition of Jon as vocalist meant that the line up was complete. The members of Outshined come from all walks of life but the one thing they share is a drive and a passion for music.
