Overview: I grew up in Md. but my roots are in Virginia. My family visited my grandmother often which was across the street from the Statler Brothers complex. My father taught me how to play guitar and gave me my love of music. During my school years I played stand up bass, drums and baritone horn in the school band. I started playing in local clubs and bars with my own band in 1992. I have always dabbled in songwriting but when my dad passed away in 2004 and I wrote "Dad's Song" it became much more serious. When I played my song during shows it touched people in a way I'd never dreamed of and my songwriting has grown from there.
