Overview: I am a freshman at Siegel High School and this song is about a young girl who writes to her father serving over seas!My inspiration for this song comes from 2004 when my uncle was deployed in Iraq and I could see the concern in my dad's and my mom's eyes for him and I thought about my cousins who are the true Soldier's Daughters!This song was written by John Brown and when I heard it it was unfinnished but it hit me so deeply I just had to have him finnish it for me so he and Dan Williams put pen to paper and came out with something so incredibly sincere I felt it represented any young girl who had a mom or dad serving over seas I just love this song and want every one to hear it and be inspired as I am by the sacrifice our brave men and woman make every day for our freedom and safety here at home!
