About Ky’Air Chi Born June 30, 1987, Ky’Air Chi (birth name, Devin Jett) is a native of Baltimore, Maryland. He grew up listening to hometown musical greats varying from Eubie Blake and Billie Holiday to Dru Hill and R&B singer, Mario. The development of Ky’Air Chi’s eclectic timbre can be traced to his musical influences who were, and are, diverse and extensive (Freddie Mercury, Darius Rucker, Prince, to name a few). These influences helped to shape and define his lyrical style and creativity. From the age of 9, Ky’Air, armed with a composition pad in hand, became practiced in daily journaling his life perspective. This discipline ultimately evolved to reflect his love of music, and Ky’Air Chi’s natural talent for songwriting emerged. In this capacity, Ky’Air pens all of his lyrical content which showcases his versatility as a vocalist, producer and songwriter.


Ky’Air is currently preparing to release his debut CD which will encompass his unique sound and original music. This CD incorporates Ky’Air Chi’s sense of music, self and style which have profoundly contributed to his musical development. The songs provide a blend of Ky’Air Chi’s mellow vocals, punctuated with elements of pop, urban folk, jazz, and R&B.
