Overview: The songs on this album are the reflection of the way I feel music, the messages it carries that need to be said in the world we happen to live, my homelands Galicia-Spain (subtly, can you hear them?:-)), influences I grew up with: pop-rock-country-jazz-classical-world-Latin-Spanish-funk-disco... If you feel the music, there are no frontiers. There are some tracks to dance, others to think, others to dream, to love, to make a point... I hope you'll enjoy this first journey of mine.

I consider myself a singer/musician at heart, and ever since I remember, I was singing.
I asked my parents to put me in a music academy at the age of 13, when I had very clear that I wanted to be a singer forever.
At that very same age I found myself writing lyrics and tunes with my newly acquired guitar (a present from one of my dad's friends, who saw my potential). The lyrics just sprang like water from a fountain. They were lyrics about love, about my life as a teenager struggling with society. To me, singing was the highest form of divinity, what brought me closer to the truth, to love… to God. So music became my religion. It encompasses everything I wish to be.
Because of my unconditional love for music, I learned every single aspect of it that fell in my hands: everything related to music was a reason of excitement. I studied guitar, musical language, vocal technique, and later on I graduated from University in Musical Education Sciences, as well as continuing with my classical singing studies and piano. I also studied a post-graduate in vocal jazz at the Royal Academy of Music in London. I sang in choirs, bands, orchestras, all sorts of styles and types of ensembles. I never really understood the meaning of "music style", music is music, there's nothing else to say.
My music is a boiling pot of many elements, because of my influences and experiences, I call it World-Pop, it embraces ingredients of my homeland, Galicia, Spain, funk, jazz, classical, Mediterranean, soul… all layered on a pop base, my music is made to be heard by everyone. As a singer, I felt immediately identified with voices like Sarah Vaughan or Dulce Pontes when I first heard them, they have those "godly" elements. The voice should be the spokesman of the soul and beyond.
I am lucky enough to count on top class musicians in my band: Jaal Bensaid on guitar, with whom I've been playing for the last 8 years; Roberto Ares on drums/percussion, also from my hometown; Steve Richardson on bass, whom I met while being part of the girl-band Milan; Tansy Aked on keyboards, who works at the main West End musicals as a musical director. Our show also has backing vocalists and dancers. I have to praise them not only for their musical skills, but also for being patient with me!
I was awarded with the GSD Latin Music Awards 2011, given to Latin musicians in London every two years, I won 3 categories: Best Album, Best Female Singer and Best Song "It Will Rain". We also headlined the Mayor's Newham Show 2011 and we did a mini-tour in Galicia (Spain) with the acoustic Trio format in April 2012. We performed for the Olympics 2012 in London at one of the events organised in the borough of the Games.
