Overview: Influenced by the DIY ethic of late 70's/early 80's punk and New Wave bands, with the cinematic and grandiose execution of acts like 30 Seconds To Mars, the powerful riffs and shimmering guitar work associated with greats such as U2, Switchfoot, and Blindside, The Found is a walking testament to the fact that rock is still alive and well, and hasn't run out of things to say. Hailing from the oft-overlooked state of Arkansas, The Found (which consists of Blake Weston, Tim Davis, Jeremy Jacobs, and Taylor Weston) spent most of 2012 writing, recording, and mixing what would become their first full-length album: "Ascend The Breaking Day".
"We really didn't set out to make an entire album," says guitarist Taylor Weston, "it just happened. Ideas kept coming out of the woodwork, as it were, and before we knew it, there were 10 different songs being worked on. We started in February of 2012, and worked right up until the day we posted the songs online. It's been quite the journey!"
